Adding Privacy to Backordered Domains

If you placed a domain on backorder and do not want your personal information listed in the Whois directory if we capture and register the domain for you, you can add privacy (for an additional fee) to the backorder.

If your backorder with privacy is unsuccessful, you can apply your private registration to any other backorder.

NOTE: To complete this process, you must have a backorder credit available to apply to the domain. If you do not have one, you can purchase the credit during this process.

To Add Privacy to a Backordered Domain

Log in to your Account Manager.
In the My Products section, click Domain Manager.
From the Buy/Sell menu, select Backorders and Monitoring.
Select the domain name(s) you want to modify.
Click Privacy.
Select Private.
If asked, read the Domain Name Back Order and Monitoring Agreement and, if you accept the terms, select I have read and agree to…, and then click OK.
Click OK again.
